Hawaii Coffee Association

Welcome to the Hawaii Coffee Association

The Hawaii Coffee Association (HCA) was formed in 1995. We bring together all facets of the Hawaii Coffee Industry - Growers, Processors, Roasters, Wholesalers, and Retailers.

Our purpose is to educate, increase awareness, promote research, and promote consumption of Hawaiian coffees.

HCA provides a forum to encourage participation and promote development in all areas of the coffee industry and to actively promote positive coffee legislation.

Hawaii is very diverse in its growing regions and extremely high quality coffee can be found throughout the state.

The HCA brings the coffee industry together on an annual basis by way of the Annual Conference & Trade Show. The show is usually held in July at different locations throughout the state.

Since 2009 the HCA has sponsored a statewide coffee cupping competition as part of the annual conference. Coffees from each of the eight state certified coffee growing districts are represented. Now in the fifth year the competition is drawing over 100 entries competing in both commercial and creative divisions.

2013 through 2014 is the 200th anniversary of coffee cultivation in Hawaii. Follow the blog of the 200 Year Celebration of Hawaiian Coffees.

Register NOW for the 18th Annual HCA Conference & 5th Annual Cupping Competition on July 18-20, 2013 at the Kauai Beach Resort in Lihue, Kauai.
